Skurriles Kabinett

2025 Planless Day

40 x 80 cm
Acrylic paint, pigment on wood

“Planless Day” is a vibrant eruption of movement and immediacy. The expressive red brushstrokes, layered upon a field of pulsing pink, create a sense of chaos that somehow resolves into rhythm. There is no guiding structure here—no grid or formal frame—but rather an unfolding of energy. The work becomes a visual diary of sensation, anchored in the body’s intuitive response. The title reflects this openness: a day without plan is a day of pure experience. Here, colour is emotion, motion is thought, and abstraction is freedom.

2025 Dreamless Night

40 x 80 cm
Acrylic paint, pigment on wood

“Dreamless Night” is an atmospheric meditation on silence and disruption. The dark violet surface is marked with almost geological texture—swirls, scars, and imprints—while a single, glowing line of orange-yellow light cuts through, suggesting awakening or warning. The absence of dreams does not mean emptiness; rather, it signals the presence of unconscious energies. The artwork embodies inner restlessness—an intense quiet, waiting to break.

2020 Emotional Space

40 x 40 cm
Tusche, Blattgold auf Holz

Emotional Space is a contemplative work about emotional interiority. The surface is layered in gold leaf, evoking sacred icons, yet it appears fragmented, even fragile. Beneath this delicate brilliance, red handwritten text emerges, in Italian and English: “Oggi, oggi, oggi. Make the space empty of judgement.”

The phrase feels whispered rather than proclaimed—a quiet invocation. The piece does not demand; it invites. It asks the viewer to create or enter a space where judgment is absent, where emotion can simply be.

The contrast between the opulent gold and the raw, exposed lettering evokes tension. Is this a sanctuary or a site of vulnerability? Perhaps it is both.
Emotional Space suggests that true presence begins where criticism ends.
It is a visual mantra—a golden breath—that reminds us to hold space, without verdict, for what we feel.
